guitar chordiness

I figure I've played guitar for about six years. Unfortunately, they aren't consecutive years and they're spread out over something like 15 years. Still, I find that everytime I pick up my guitar again and strum along with it, I find that I haven't totally forgotten what I remember from last time.

I have no great aspiration when it comes to the guitar --- all I want to do is to have the option of playing something I can sing to and that doesn't sound like a camp song if given the opportunity. I found this kick-ass Web site and am currently trying to learn this song, which has been shockingly easy for me, with the worst guitar ears in the world, to pick out.
